Pic taken on my last day with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. As a retired Law Enforcement Officer, I will always “Back the Blue”.

I was born at the "Miner's Hospital" (now called BARH) on Christmas Eve, 1971.  My Father, David, was a Coal Miner and my Mother, Linda, is a retired Educator.  I was reared in Wyoming County where I graduated from Glen Rogers High School in 1990.

After High School, I enrolled in West Virginia University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Anthropology in 1994.

After college, I briefly worked in the maintenance department at a large apartment complex in Beckley before beginning my career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

I began my career with the Bureau of Prisons as a Correctional Officer in 1995.  I would go on to work as a Case Manager and a Treatment Specialist during my 26+ years with the Bureau.  I also served as a Squad Leader on the Prison's Disturbance Control Team (SWAT) and as the Lead Firearm Instructor for the Prison for nearly 20 years.  I retired from the Bureau in 2021.

I have been a small business owner since 2005.

I married my High School Sweetheart, Jennifer, in 1994 and we have three beautiful children.  Our Son, Clay, currently serves our Country in the United States Air Force.  Our Daugher, Morgan, is working towards her Teaching Degree at college.  Our Daughter, Faith, is currently finishing up her high school studies.

My wife and I are members of Bible Baptist Church, MacArthur, where I currently serve as an adult Sunday School teacher.

"I am a proud son of West Virginia"
